Saying Bhardo Jholi Ya Muhammad (Calling on Prophet To Enrich One Self/Ummah)

The Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) has the Power of Giving Benefits & Loss

Some misguided sects believe that the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is powerless, that he does not possess the power to give benefit or cause loss to anybody.

The belief of the Ahle Sunnah Wal Jama'at is that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) has been blessed by Allah Ta'ala with the powers to give benefit or loss to anybody if he wishes.

The following verses of the Holy Quran prove this. Allah Ta'ala states in the Holy Quran:

"And if when they do injustice unto their souls, then O Beloved! They should come to you and then beg forgiveness of Allah and the Messenger should intercede for them, then surely, they would find Allah Most Relenting, Merciful." (Para 5, Ruku 6)

"And what they felt bad, only this that Allah and His Messenger has enriched them out of His grace;" (Para 10, Ruku 16)

"And O Beloved! Remember when you did say to him whom Allah bestowed a favour and you have bestowed a favour." (Para 22, Ruku 2)

Allah Ta'ala says in the Holy Quran: "And O Beloved, I have sent you not as mercy unto the worlds." (Part 17 Ruku 7) Commentating on this verse of the Holy Quran, Allama Aaloosi (radi Allahu anhu) has stated, "And the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) being mercy unto the worlds is in this context that throughout the entire universe, his control is present through the Blessing of Allah Ta'ala. This is why the Noor of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) was the first thing to be created and it is in the Ahadith, ' O Jaabir! Almighty Allah had first created the Noor of your Nabi (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam)' and in the next Hadith it is said that, 'Almighty Allah is the Giver and I am the distributor. The explanation of the Soofia is more than that of mine in this matter." (Tafseer Roohul Muaani)

It is mentioned in the Holy Quran that Hazrat 'Isa (alaihis salaam) made a bird out of clay, blew into it, and then, with the Command of Allah Ta'ala, it began to fly. The Holy Quran also mentions that Hadrat 'Isa (alaihis salaam) cured the blind, the lepers and brought back the dead back to life with the Command of Allah Ta'ala.

All these incidents prove that Nabi 'Isa (alaihis salaam) was able to give benefit to those who sought his assistance. How can one dispute that our Nabi Muhammad Mustapha (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), who is superior to Nabi 'Isa (alahis salaam), is not in control of giving benefit or loss to anyone?

It is also stated in the Holy Quran that through the Barakah of Hazrat Yusuf (alaihis salaam), Hazrat Yaqoob (alaihis salaam) regained his sight. Is the returning of the sight of Hadrat Yaqoob (alaihis salaam) not a benefit and advantage? Verily it is! Thus, if benefit can be gained through the other Ambiya (alaihimus salaam), how then can a Muslim say that the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) cannot give us benefit or loss?

Once, Hazrat Maghir (radi Allahu anhu) committed a grave sin so he went to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) and asked him to purify him. Although the Sahabi-e-Rasool had sinned against Allah Ta'ala, he asked the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) to purify and cleanse him because he knew that the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) would give benefit to him.

The Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said, "I am the one who distributes and Almighty Allah is the One who gives." (Bukhari; Umdatul Qari)

Hazrat Rabia (radi Allahu anhu) said in the court of the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam): "I ask from you that I may be in Jannah with you." (Mishkaat; Mirkaat)

FEW MORE PROOFS:

a. Allah says in the Quran“And they were not resentful except [for the fact] that Allah and His Messenger had enriched them of His bounty” [Quran 9:74]

b. It is Narrated Sayyidina Jabir bin Abdullah Al-Ansari, that the Beloved Messenger, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, said:

".I am Al-Qasim (distributor), and I distribute among you Allah's blessings." [Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 8, Book 73, Hadith no. 216]

c. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said “While I was sleeping, the keys of the treasures of the world were brought to me and put in my hand." [Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 52, Number 220]

d. By Allah! I see my Fount (Kauthar) just now and I have been given the keys of all the treasures of the earth (or the keys of the earth) [Sahih Bukhari Volume 2, Book 23, Number 428]

e. "... come to the Messenger and asked Allah's forgiveness, and the Messenger had (also) asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah indeed Oft-returning, Most Merciful.(Al-Qur'an, Surah an-Nisa, 4:64)

we are and will remain sawali of prophet in our very life, in grave, on the day of judgement, on mizan, on pulsrat and prophet will help us from the bounties of Allah azzalajal on which prophet has been given authority.

quoting ayah " Ask only almighty Allah".

If the meaning of this ayah is to be taken literal, then aksing anybody besides Allah, be it doctor, teacher, friend, boss, king, governor, mother, father, brother, everything is wrong and shirk. the meaning is not as taken and explained by this misguded people, in fact asking help, prophets/angels/pious helping people is proven from Quran and ahadith. where ever "do not ask anyone beside Allah" is mentioned it relates to people who invoke gods besides allah and ask this false deities for help, and their faith of that these deities can provide them help on their own - so meaning taken is wrong the contest is belive not the word. else no one in world is saved from shirk - and it is no where mentioned in quran that the living can benefit and dead cannot - the word "asking help anyone besides Allah" is general with no boundaries of living, dead, worldly, metaphorical etc.

f. Allah is his Maula [helper],and Gabriel, and the righteous believers and after that the angels are his helpers. [Quran 66:4]

g. Verily, your Wali (Protector or Helper) is Allah, His Messenger, and the believers, - those who performAs-Salât(Iqâmat-as-Salât), and give Zakat, and they bow down (submit them selveswith obedience to Allah in prayer).[Al-Maida 5:55 ]

h. Prophet Muhammad (Sallelahu alaihiva sallam) said :

"Whoever accepts me as Maula [master, Helper], Ali is his Maula [master, Helper] too".

i. again asking forgiveness to prophet is indicated in first para of answers,

Quran has no conflict in its ayah's it people who take the meanings in either in wrong contest or get isolated meaning irrespective of discussion, other ayas/ahadees or most of the people use the ayah which were meant for kuffar

It is obvious from these Ahadith that the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is the one who distributes throughout the universe and he who is a distributor in the entire universe definitely has the power of giving benefit.

From the above narrations, those who are Muslims will always accept that the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) has the power of giving benefit. He will think of him as the one to turn to in the times of need.

  1. Respected Ahmed Sahab, you pointed out that Holy Prophet (sw) is superior to all other prophets. I have been wondering for a long time about the following verse:
"Say, [O believers], "We have believed in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants and what was given to Moses and Jesus and what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him." What do you think about the part @We make no distinction between any of them"...does that not mean that all are equal?

  2. اَلسَّلاَ مُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَا تُهُ
The above verse, refers to the beliefs, emaan and message brought by the Prophets (peace be upon them). By no distinction here it refers to no difference in faith and the message they brought saying Allah is One and to him we return. In terms of rank, prophets(peace be upon them) vary in rank with our beloved Prophetﷺ being of the highest degree - He is Afzal ul Bashar, Imam ul Ambia & Sayyidul Mursaleen.
